Shelf scrubbing
Very important in the chain of the cheese production is the cleaning of the wooden shelves. Off course, if those weren’t cleaned properly the cheese will get an other evolution. And that is for you probably not the right evolution….
Doeschot does have some possibilities for you, automated or not automated.

SCRUBBER 301 3A

detail-301 volledig-301

The SCRUBBER 301 shelf scrubbing machine mechanically cleans one side of the wooden shelves in the horizontal position by means of two powerful roller brushes.

Thanks to the high rotational speed and the position of the brushes, the surface can be cleaned very intensively and the shelf can thus pass through the installation at a relatively high speed resulting in a very high capacity. At capacities of up to 1000 shelves per hour the Scrubber 301 is capable of keeping cheese shelves exceptionally clean without prior soaking and preventing the development of moulds and yeasts on the surface of the shelf. The high speed of rotation of the brushes also means that the brush hairs clean themselves. Hot water flows along the shelf to carry the dirt away. This water is pumped around from an integral water container, which is heated by means of heating elements. The shelves are automatically conveyed through the machine by means of driven rolls.

  • Can be used as a stand-alone machine or integrated into an automated line.
  • High cleaning level at a high throughput speed.
  • Water consumption and temperature are adjustable.
  • Shelves of different thickness can be processed at the same time
  • Shelf dimensions
Thickness min. 18 to max. 35 mm (variable)
Width: min 250 to max. 450 mm (according to specifications)
    Length min. 1600 mm.

SCRUBBER 650 en 651

detail651 scrubber651

The Scrubber 650 and 651 supplement our range of in-line shelf scrubbers for capacities of up to 500 shelves per hour.

Many automatic systems do not require the high capacity offered by the Scrubber 301. Capacities of up to 500 shelves per hour are sufficient in many cases. However, a cheese shelf is still a cheese shelf and the requirements imposed upon the cleaning result are just as high, even at lower capacities. For this segment we have now developed the Scrubber 650 / 651. We have followed the strictest hygiene guidelines without, however, losing sight of safety and sturdiness.

The Scrubber 651 is a machine that cleans the shelf particularly effectively and, in doing so, keeps itself just as clean. The cheese shelves are cleaned by two rotating, dished brushes. The brush hairs never rotate in the direction of the grain; they leave the soft wood between the grains undamaged. Cleaning water circulates constantly over the underside of the shelves. A considerable part of the water is, however, used to continuously remove dirt from the machine itself.

The Scrubber 651 is equipped with a cleaning and rinsing section as standard. The machine can be expanded to include a disinfecting stage.

The Scrubber 650 is almost identical to the Scrubber 651. Instead of two dished brushes, the cleaning section of the 650 consists of a single dished brush. This means that the installation size is shorter, which can be a plus for use in existing processing lines.

  • Can be used as a stand-alone machine or integrated into an automated line.
  • Can be cleaned by CIP.
  • Can be fully dismantled and put back together within 30 seconds.
  • Water consumption and temperature are adjustable.
  • Shelves of different thickness can be processed at the same time.
  • Shelf dimensions
Thickness: min. 15 to max. 35 mm (variable)
Width: 250 to max. 450 mm (according to specifications)
    Length:      min. 1600 mm.

SCRUBBER 653 3A

653bewerkt

The SCRUBBER 653 compact shelf scrubbing machine has been specially developed to easily operate between the racks as a stand-alone machine. The wooden shelves are cleaned on both sides in a vertical position by means of rotating scouring brushes. Hot water is supplied through the centre of the brushes. This water is pumped around from an integral water container, which is heated by heating elements. The cheese shelves are automatically conveyed through the machine by means of driven rolls. It is possible to make the shelf move back and forwards so that they can pass through the machine in a single movement. The advantage of this is that the shelves are cleaned better and the machine can be operated by just one worker.

  • Water consumption and the temperature are adjustable.
  • Brushes can be continuously adjusted to the correct shelf thickness
  • Brushes of various hardnesses are available.
  • Shelf dimensions
Thickness: min. 18 to max. 35 mm
    Width: max. 470 mm
    Length min. 1100 mm.
  • Cleaning speed 0.3 m/sec.
